Technical glitches in the race organizers' registration system led to some challenges in this year's Race for the Cure, which required some unusual strategies to collect participant data and compile results for the 5K Run. We truly appreciate the patience and good sportsmanship of this year's participants, and applaud the race volunteers for their enthusiasm and hard work.
Facing the most difficult challenges with focus, strong will, and dedication is what the Komen Foundation is all about. This was clearly in evidence yesterday. Congratulations to the organizers, participants, and volunteers for coming together to enjoy a 5K run on a beautiful day in Hickory, all in support of a wonderful cause.

We recorded finish times for a number of participants for whom we have no name, age or gender, so if you ran in the race but don't see your name -- and you still have your numbered timing chip -- please drop us an email and we'll update the results.
